BJRS updates platform to OJS 3.5

On July 11, 2025, the technical team at GeniusDesign, responsible for technical support and editorial advisory for the Brazilian Journal of Radiation Sciences (BJRS), began the process of updating the journal’s Open Journal System (OJS) and rolled it out in the early hours of July 15, 2025 (Tuesday).

On June 26, 2025, the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), which develops the system, released version 3.5, bringing important community-driven improvements organized around four main pillars:

  1. Streamlined task and user management, simplifying assignments and administrative controls;
  2. Enhanced editorial usability, with a redesigned dashboard and customizable filters;
  3. Workflows aligned with GDPR, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations across regions;
  4. Advanced support for multilingual journals, improving language switching and display of translated content.
